Combating Mid-Level Violence
Understanding Mid-Level Violence and What to do About It
What is Mid-Level Violence?
Mid-level violence is an unconventional warfare tactic designed to provoke for the express purpose of either eliciting a response that can be framed in such a way as to cause the target to damage themselves or to demoralize the target into accepting their behavior and preventing them from taking right action.
This is a typical tactic expressly talked about in leftist activist manuals. Everything in Woke activism is designed to be a mid-level violence, a provocation. Drag queen story hour is expressly stated as a provocation.
The way mid-level violence works
Beautiful trouble, a Woke activist training manual, states that your real action is your target’s reaction. It is weaponized passive aggressiveness. Think of the little brother putting his finger in your face while saying I’m not touching you over and over again.
Mid-level violence is not a threat directly but a vailed threat that puts you in a bind. You now must pick between do not react or react. We have seen this play out on our streets in the form of blocking traffic and generally being in the way.
If you accept this behavior, you have caved in and demoralize yourself. Demoralize not in the sense that you have lost morale but that you have violated your morals or values. Part of you knows you’ve done this and you lose part of yourself. You lose part of your ability to see yourself as a decent person and someone who can take right action. If this mid-level violence is done carefully, it is carried out in a way that it is just below the threshold that is clear that you must do something.
On the other hand, you might react. If you react to mid-level violence done correctly then your reaction will, at the very least, appear to be an overreaction and will be sold as such. This is where the media comes into play and where lying activists thrive.
These people are trained and know what they are doing. So when you react they will capture that reaction and present it out of context and frame it in a way that makes you look like the bad guy. The distribution, framing, and narrative will all be turned against you to make you look like the psychopath. In full context your reaction makes sense and is justified but it will not be portrayed that way.
For example, let’s say there is a protester blocking the street and you drive up to them. They start screaming, yelling, threatening you and then maybe even knock on your window. Out of fear you step on the gas and drive away knocking a protester over. They will capture your reaction (stepping on the gas), frame it as you driving your car into peaceful protesters and then spread the narrative that you targeted peaceful protesters by driving your car into them because you are a racist, bigot or whatever.
The police are subject to this mid-level violence as well. The law will require them to take the activist side and thus you will be arrested. Now if the police did their job and enforced the laws and did not allow the illegal activity of blocking a street to happen in the first place, you would not be in this position. But since you were the one reacting, or as framed overreacting, you will be the target of the police.
Drag queen story hour is another type of this mid-level violence tactic. If you just give in, they are grooming your kids and demoralizing you. They are not only indoctrinating your kids but they are also getting you to give in and accept that another adult male dressed as a woman can do this to your children.
Remember this is an unconventional warfare tactic they are using. You might not even know that you are in a war right now, but you are. The choices in mid-level violence situation are cave in, let them do what they want and demoralize yourself or you overreact and they use their resources in media, activist groups, non-profits and political organizations to destroy your life and push the narrative that we need an increase in state power so that bad people like you cannot continue to do what you do.
You see this also in DEI training where they accuse you of being racist and if you don’t admit it then you are engaging in white fragility. This is a classic Kafka Trap where refusing to admit guilt proves guilt.
How to beat mid-level violence
The only way to beat a mid-level violence provocation is to point out the dynamic of the mid-level violence provocation. Mid-level violence is designed to provoke your reaction, either giving in and letting them do what they want, like grooming your children, or to overreact. The trap is you cannot react but you cannot not react, so you need to identify it and point it out. You must capture it, frame it and expose it for what it is, a mid-level violent provocation meant to achieve acceptance and demoralization or reaction that will be framed as overreaction.
Take the little brother not touching you finger in your face example. You need to say, ‘correct you are not touching me, but you are provoking me’ and you need to get other people to see and hear that. This might not get the provocation to stop but what it does is reframe the situation so that you will be seen as justified to react if the provocation continues. Remember this is an unconventional warfare tactic designed to get you to destroy yourself either by giving up (surrender) or overreacting and allowing them to frame you as the evil person.
Calling it out might not stop them from continuing on with the tactic but it will severely lessen the impact it might have. There is a lot of power in the ability to just say NO and to say this is unacceptable and you need to stop. Yelling at school boards, posting on social media, writing to the police or electing different politicians will not solve this issue, it is going to take individuals stepping up and becoming the heroes we need right now.
